Sell on Vinted and Marktplaats at the same time
Updated 2026-10-27
If you sell second-hand clothes in the Netherlands, Vinted and Marktplaats are the two big places to be. They work differently and reach different buyers, so listing on both gives an item more chances to sell.
How they differ
- Vinted is made for clothes. Buyers browse by brand and size, pay through Vinted and the item is shipped. Buyers pay the buyer protection fee, so a basic listing costs you nothing.
- Marktplaats is for everything. Buyers search and often message you first, and you can let them pick up the item or ship it. A basic listing is free; extra visibility costs money and is optional.
Writing for both
- Keep the title the same: brand, item, colour and size, in Dutch.
- On Marktplaats, pick the right category and fill in the attributes (condition, size, colour, brand). They are used as search filters.
- Choose a fixed price (Vraagprijs) or allow offers (Bieden). For clothes, a fixed price with offers allowed usually works well.
- Use the same photos on both. The first photo matters most.
Don't sell it twice
The one risk of listing on two sites is that an item sells on both. Give every item a short code (a SKU, like SL-0042) in the listing and on a note with the item, and take the listing down on the other site as soon as it sells.
Doing it with Snabblista
Snabblista writes the listing in Dutch from your photos, then fills in the sell form on Vinted and on Marktplaats with one click each: title, description, condition, size, colour, brand and price. Delivery, your postcode and Marktplaats's paid options are left to you, and you press publish yourself. When an item sells on Vinted, Snabblista marks it sold and reminds you to take it down on the other sites it's listed on.
