Vinted vs Depop: where should you sell your clothes?

Vinted and Depop both sell second-hand clothes, but they attract different buyers. Many resellers use both.

Vinted

Buyers: very broad. Everyday clothes, kids' clothes, basics and brands at fair prices. Big across most of Europe.
Fees: no selling fee. The buyer pays a buyer protection fee (a small fixed amount plus about 5% of the price) and shipping.
Sells best: known brands with clear photos, sizes and fair prices. Lots of volume.

Depop

Buyers: younger and style-focused, strongest in the UK, the US and Australia.
Fees: no selling fee for sellers in the UK and the US since 2024, but a payment processing fee on every sale. In other countries a selling fee can apply, so check Depop's fee page for where you live.
Sells best: vintage, Y2K, streetwear and one-off pieces. Styling and photos matter more.

Which one should you use?

Basics, kids' clothes, everyday brands: start with Vinted.
Vintage, streetwear, unique pieces: put them on Depop as well.
Not sure? List on both. More buyers see the item, and having a listing up costs you nothing.

Listing on both without double work
